Abstract

This paper presents the result of the effect of inoculating printing papers with Flame
Retardants (Ammonium chloride and Borax) properties of the papers were lowered and that
the retardants reacted by free radical and condensed phase mechanisms respectively. The
study is geared towards using locally produced industrials to combat the environmental fire
disasters whose consequences have been displeasing.
